Watercolor of Blog Header

I am experimenting with my blog heading.  Version Two below started with an ink drawing and then I filled it in with watercolors.   As you can see, the Header shows very little of the real painting.  For my blog, I have a laptop, Epson Scanner, Photoshop Elements, and a camara.

    That is great Linda!

  2. Linda,
Congratulations on the start of your new blog! I enjoyed reading the posts you have so far. The mantra, Take joy!, is a beautiful one to live by. I think I’ll borrow that one from you if you don’t mind… Hey I didn’t know you made porcelain dolls. The one you show here is very pretty.
    Best!

    • I finally did it! Thanks Veronica. The OC Illustractors helped move me along. And your “Painted Page” is wonderful. Your art flows and shows confidence in the drawing and watercolor.
I am glad you are enjoying my posts. They are random right now but a structure is developing. It is fun to show and tell about some of my past art, like the dolls. I’ll show more later.
Yes, you may use my mantra, “Take Joy”. What I wrote is an excerpt from a letter that Fra Giovanni wrote. Others have used the term as a title for their books, i.e. Tasha Tudor and Jane Yolen.
Thanks again, Veronica, for visiting my blog.
      Linda

    Hi Linda,
Your mantra is indeed excellent! I will steal that one as well to go along with my other mantra I use: “What if?” 🙂 I look forward to what you will be posting on your blog!
    Good luck,
    Cara

    • Hi Cara, Thanks for checking out my site. I just went and visited your’s. Good luck with your graphic novel. I want to hear more. Linda
PS. the mantra is meant to share………..
