Peonies in Bloom

Peonies in Bloom – a most wonderful natural high!!! Take Joy!

I have fallen in love with this flower.  Before it opens the bud looks like a ball on a stick, but then the magic begins and what a glorious bloom.  I’m still waiting for peonies to arrive at Trader Joes near me.  May and June are the months.  All of these watercolors were from last year.  The joy I felt watching these flowers open from bud to the dropping of the petals is almost indescribable, a most wonderful natural high!
