Mantra – Take Joy!

I mustn’t forget my mantra – Take Joy!   The phrase used in the following:

Take Joy and Sketch Play by Linda Ruddy, two sketchbooks of illustration images for inspiration and joy.

“The gloom of the world is but a shadow.  Behind it, yet within our reach is joy.  Take Joy!” ~ Fra Giovanni Year 1513

Tasha Tudor named one of her books:  Take Joy! The Tasha Tudor Christmas Book published in 1966.

And, I think Jane Yolen has a book by that title also.      Enjoy!

Your watercolors certainly do evoke Joy! I keep going back and forth, trying to decide on my favorite. I love them all, but the long-legged chickens and the playful dogs especially make me smile :-).

  2. What a fablous idea! ‘Take Joy’ as a mantra! Love it!

  3. Your watercolors reflect your mantra with so much exuberance! 🙂 I love it!
