Drawing Lesson – Home Objects

Coffee cup designs, small objects, kitchen utensils, patterns: just draw.

Pages from my sketchbook.  I used inexpensive paper, ballpoint pen, and small set of watercolors.  The goal was to keep the mind and hand busy with daily drawing exercises and not to worry about perfection.   I found JOY energy in patterns and color!!!!

Hey! That is the philosophy I use with my writing. Basically, write daily—do not worry about perfection. Worrying about perfection results in mental paralysis for me :-). Wonderful drawing.

Thanks for the reminder! Perfection is such a mental block.
    Love the Teddy bears. 🙂

  3. I love the philosophy that everything around us can be interpreted as art. We are surrounded by beauty and all we have to do is decide to see it. 🙂

I imagine it’s a kind of meditation; good for the mind and the soul, not to mention for reducing inhibitions when drawing!

Drawing, writing, to start the day, sets a whole tone and pace that is great for slowing down and reducing stress! I love the patterns and colors of your drawings, Linda, and I recognize them :).
