Summer Quote and Art

“Perhaps we have learned the power of making dreams realities,
of extracting the best from every moment.
Perhaps we have learned, too,
what lies between yesterday and today,
a time of now.”    ~unknown

Summer has arrived!!  What does this season bring for you, what memories, what new adventures?  What foods remind you of summer?  Any summertime traditions to share?

I’m continuing to paint these small sketches using a small set of watercolors and a small book of absorbent paper.  First drawing in pencil and then outlining in black waterproof pen.   Touching color to paper is a joy!

Your picture is so light and airy – just like summer! It’s lovely… 🙂

  2. What a pretty picture! The purple flowers remind me of lilacs and lilacs remind me of my mother, for she loved her lilac bushes. 🙂

Color on paper is a joy! Well there’s corn on the cob, watermelon and this year we’ll have our best tomato crop yet. I’m looking forward to the beach. I need to get out of doors. I’ve been working like madwoman with my head down for weeks.

  4. I love your watercolor! 🙂 The colors are so soothing and “summery.”
