Quote and Another Lantern Enchantment

Enchanted Fairies by Margaret TarrantLook at all the detail!  This vintage painting is by Margaret Tarrant and titled Enchanted Fairies.

I’m definitely traveling backwards to a magical time and place….and I’m finding JOY energy!

“The moment you doubt where you can fly,
you cease forever to be able to do it.”
~J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan

And from Roald Dahl, Matilda:
“You seemed so far away,” Miss Honey whispered, awestruck.
“Oh, I was.  I was flying past the stars on silver wings,” Matilda said.  “It was wonderful.”

Hope the week treats you kindly!  LR

I love the light in this. (I also hear Oprah’s voice saying, “And you get a firefly, and you get a firefly…” 🙂 Make good art!

    • The painting does have that feel but I’m missing the Ophra connection…..?  These old fanciful paintings are quite a delight.  Happy birthday to you, Marilyn.  I received a Facebook notice that you are celebrating this week.   I’m not savvy with Facebook so I hope you get this message through my blog…..
