2017 – a Creative Year

Hello!  It’s been so long since my last blog.  I hope all are well.  This year is memorable for me:  Lots of finished paintings, some writing, some adventures, new people, new activities.  I am grateful.  I feel alive again! New ideas are beginning to flow.
From my Women’s Series….

Here’s my most recent painting titled The Dreamer. (Copyright: Linda Ruddy)
Solo Woman 2

Title:  The Dreamer
Year: 2017
Medium: Acrylic
Style: Modern Graphic
Series:  Women
Artist: Linda Ruddy (Copyright)
Award:  Judged Show, 2nd Place Ribbon, San Clemente Art Gallery, California

This year, I have been more public with my work, entering competitions, participating in art festivals.  I prefer the making of art, but this year I have started to learn about the marketing of art.  Not so easy or profitable, but at times, extremely satisfying when a person really connects with one of my paintings, when my art speaks to them in a personal way.

Here’s another ribbon winner:  Experiment in Color No. 1, (Copyright: Linda Ruddy)

LR Experiment in Color No 1

Title:  Experiment in Color No. 1
Year: Finished in 2017, started in 2000.
Medium:  Acrylic
Style:  Modern Graphic
Series:  Women
Artist: Linda Ruddy (copyright)
Award: Judged Show, 1st Place Ribbon, San Clemente Art Gallery, California

Enjoy!  I wish all my readers the best. LR
